March 2-4, 2023 Young scientists of the Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences took part in the traditional Inyazov Readings of MSLU!
On March 2-4, 2023, with the organizational support of the Council of Young Scientists of the Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the traditional MSLU Readings were held at the Moscow State Linguistic University (MSLU named after Maurice Thorez).
On the sidelines of the conference (March 3), the management of the CYS of the IAfr RAS took part in the practical round table "Actual Challenges of Young Leaders in Science, Business and Education" in full force. Within the framework of the event, a broad discussion took place on modern problems of young scientists and effective ways to solve them, where members of the Councils of Young Scientists from the Institutes of the Department of Global Problems and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow State Linguistic University, Russian State University of Humanities, as well as representatives of the Coordinating Council for Youth Affairs in Science and educational spheres of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for Science and Education, the Department for Work with Young Scientists of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and the Youth Parliament under the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
At the plenary session on March 4, a welcoming speech and a report on the theme "Africa Today" was made by the Chairman of the CYS IAfr RAS, Ph.D., Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Southern Africa Studies Sidorov Vasily Alexandrovich
Members of the CYS IAFR RAS (March 4) took an active part in the sections International Relations, Political Science, Area Studies, and Economics.
A joint report on the topic "The role of the EU in shaping ECOWAS migration policy" was made by the staff of the Centre for Global and Strategic Studies, Ph.D., Senior Researcher Fellow Zakharov Ivan Andreevich, PhD in Geography, Senior Research Fellow Agafoshin Maxim Mikhailovich, and Dr Sc. (Geography), Leading Researcher Fellow, Dmitriev Ruslan Vasilievich.
Harutyunyan Arseniy Hamletovich, Junior Research Fellow at Centre for North African and African Horn Studies had a report: "The Horn of Africa and Russia: Prospects for the development of relations."
Barinov Andrey Konstantinovich, PhD in Economics, Junior Research Fellow at the Centre for Global and Strategic Studies, Deputy Chairman of the CYS, had a report named "Prospects for the development of transport infrastructure on the African continent".
Berezhnov Andrey Igorevich, Junior Research Fellow at the at the Centre for Global and Strategic Studies, had a report: "The Egyptian factor in relations between the Russian Empire and Turkey."
Voronina Natalya Alexandrovna, Ph.D., Junior Research Fellow at the Centre for Southern African Studies had a report: "The question of impeachment of the President of South Africa S. Ramapos: the role of the ATM party."
Mitina Varvara Kirillovna, Junior Research Fellow at the Centre for Global and Strategic Studies, had a report: "The potential of North Africa in the development of nuclear energy."
Sugakov Gleb Konstantinovich, Junior Research Fellow at the Centre for Global and Strategic Studies, Deputy Chairman of the CYS, had a report "International Maritime Organizations and the Management of fish resources in Africa."
Turyanitsa Daria Andreevna, Junior Research Fellow at the Centre for Sociological and Political Sciences Studies, had a report: "From the history of the work of the Committee of Soviet Women with the countries of Africa."
