Dear Colleagues,
Thank you for your interest in our Conference. This letter serves as confirmation that your application has been accepted, and you have been included on the list of participants for the 16th African Studies Conference, themed "The New World Order: From the Legacy of Colonialism to Sovereignty and Development". The Conference will be held in Moscow, Russia, from May 21st to 23rd, 2024, and will bring together scholars from approximately twenty countries. The Conference is a part of the commemoration of the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the 65th anniversary of the Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. We are confident that your participation will greatly contribute to its success.

Accommodation
The Organizing Committee can provide guidance on booking accommodations (visa-confer2024@mail.ru), but please note that you are responsible for making your own reservations. We highly recommend making your hotel bookings in advance.

We suggest selecting a hotel located near the Institute for African Studies (30/1 Spiridonovka str.) or on the same Metro line. The closest Metro Stations (approximately 10-15 minute walk) are Mayakovskaya, Pushkinskaya, Tverskaya, Chekhovskaya, and Barrikadnaya.
