The Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian-Tanzanian Cultural Centre in Dar es Salaam will hold a Russia-Tanzania conference titled "The Place of Africa in the World: The Past and the Present" on March 1-3, 2024. The Conference is dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
We are glad to invite you to participate in the Conference. In case you are willing to take part in this event, please submit a paper abstract (within 300 words in English) alongside with personal particulars (names, affiliation, e-mail address) by December 1, 2023 to Prof. Dmitri M. Bondarenko at dmitrimb@mail.ru. The Conference is planned as a face-to-face event on the premises of the Russian-Tanzanian Cultural Centre in Dar es Salaam, so participation in person is very much desirable, but giving a paper online may be possible if the Organizing Committee is informed about it in advance at the addresses dmitrimb@mail.ru and tanzania@rs.gov.ru. The Conference working languages are English and Russian.
No registration fee presupposed. To our pity, the Organizing Committee cannot assist financially or technically in purchasing tickets or booking a hotel.
