Dear Colleagues,
Thank you for the interest in our Conference. This letter is to testify that your application is accepted and you are included on the list of participants of the "Elections in Africa: Internal Changes and Foreign Policy of African Countries, Conference Series". The Conference will take place in Moscow, Russia, on November 1-2, 2018 and will bring together scholars from about fifteen countries. We are sure that participation of each of you will become an important contribution to its success.
- Confirmation
Please confirm that you do intend and will be able to participate in the Conference in person by sending an e-mail message to confer2018@gmail.com. First and foremost we need it for preparing Visa Support Application Certificates, necessary for your Russian Visa Application.
Also we kindly ask you to inform us in case of no-show as well.
- Conference fee
Let us remind you that the regular Conference registration fee is $150 while it is $75 for students and citizens of African states residing in Africa except South Africa, and $100 for accompanying persons. The registration fee is to be paid in cash on arrival. It can be paid not only in dollars but also in euros or Russian rubles according to the official exchange rate for the date of registration. The Conference participants working for the Conference organizing institutions - Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and African Studies Center of the University of Porto, as well as researchers from the Institute for African Studies official partners, are waved from registration fee.
- Accommodation
We would like to encourage you to make independent hotel reservation in advance. You may find information about variety of different class Moscow hotels and make a reservation online on such sites as http://www.hotelsrussia.com/ and http://www.booking.com/, etc. For your convenience in order to save your time try to choose your location closer to the Institute (where the Conference is going to take place) or on the same Metro line. Here is the Address of the Institute: 30/1 Spiridonovka St.; closest Metro Stations (approx. 10 min. walk): Mayakovskaya, Pushkinskaya, Tverskaya, Chekhovskaya and Barrikadnaya.
