The celebration of the anniversary of Dmitry Bondarenko

The Institute for African Studies hosted a celebration of the famous Africanist, Corresponding member of RAS, Professor Dmitry Bondarenko on the occasion of his half-century anniversary on September 12, 2018.

Fruitful service to science, actualization of the «image» of Africa, active organizational activities, education of the younger generation of researchers – all these are the facets of the great talent of our colleague.

D.M. Bondarenko is the author of more than 500 papers, which have gained well-deserved fame among domestic and foreign africanists. He has made an outstanding contribution to the promotion of African studies in the Russian and world scientific community. D.M. Bondarenko has gained international recognition and respect as the leading specialist in the field of anthropology.
