Applied Research Group

The Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences has the APPLIED RESEARCH GROUP under the Director of the Institute, member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Economics, Professor Irina O. Abramova. Leading scientists and experts from various centres of the Institute are involved in the work of the Group.

Main areas of work:
1. Expert consulting activities at the request of commercial structures and business associations.
2. Preparation of analytical materials for Russian authorities, including the framework of the Intergovernmental commissions with African countries.
3. Organisation of applied and scientific events aimed at the development of Russian-African relations, including the preparation and holding of Russia–Africa Summits.
