All-Russian Scientific Conference

April 23, 2025. The Centre for Civilizational and Regional Studies held the All-Russian Scientific Conference with International Participation “Problems of Radicalization and Deradicalization of Religiously Motivated Persons: Opportunities and Prospects in the Modern World”. The conference is a continuation of the discussions initiated during the work of a number of conferences on the problems of deradicalization of Islamists, systematically held by the Center for Civilization and Regional Studies IAS RAS since 2022.

The conference was attended by scientists and experts from the Institute of Africa of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, N.N. Miklukho-Maclay Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology, Russian Academy of Sciences, Alexander Nevsky Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russian State University for the Humanities, National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE), ISPI FNISC RAS, Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, St. Petersburg State Agrarian University, Moscow City Pedagogical University, Center for Islamic Studies of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, ANO “Institute for Freedom of Conscience”, Springfield Research University, Ebonyi Kingdom, Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, Nigeria.

There were 3 sections at the conference and more than 30 reports were heard.
