January 13 this year on the initiative of the President of France, E. Macron, in the city of Pau (France), a summit was held of the countries of the intergovernmental organization G-5 Sahel, created in 2014, which includes Burkina Faso, Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Chad. The summit aroused wide interest in African countries and in Europe, primarily in France.
