Second Conference “Russia-Africa”

February 27, 2019 Director of the Institute for African Studies, Member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Corresponding Member of the RAS Prof. I.O. Abramova took part and made a report at the II “Russia-Africa” Conference.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and was chaired by the Deputy Minister T.I. Maximov. More than 30 ambassadors of African countries, employees of the diplomatic corps, more than 100 representatives of Russian companies, including “Rusatom-International Network”, OK “RUSAL”, “Russian Helicopters”, “Rostselmash”, etc. took part in it. During the Conference, reports were made by the heads of the diplomatic corps of African countries, including the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ghana to the Russian Federation, L.A. Opoku-Vare, Charge d'Affaires ad interim of Kenya to Russia V. Mwanjal, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ethiopia in Russia A. Tegeny, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Namibia in the Russian Federation K.H. Kashuupulva, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Equatorial Guinea to Russia Kh.E. Akenga.
