22 November 2016 "Threats of terrorism in Africa: the internal and external aspects".
On 22nd of November 2016, the Centre for the Studies of the Russian-African Relations and Foreign Policy of African Countries of the Institute for African Studies RAS is organizing a conference
"Threats of terrorism in Africa: the internal and external aspects".
The conference organizers invite scholars of Russian and foreign universities and research centers, representatives of government agencies and non-governmental organizations and the business community, of academic journals and the media.
The following questions are offered to be considered by the participants:

- The scale of the terrorist threat in Africa and its impact on the international relations of African states;
- Description of the main terrorist groups operating in Africa, their links with Al-Qaeda, DAISH (ISIL/IS) and other terrorist groups;
- The specificity of the factors of terrorism in the African political, economic, cultural and ideological conditions;
- The role of the religious factor in the escalation of terrorism in Africa;
- The interlinkage between the transnational organized crime and terrorist activities in African countries;
- African migration and international terrorism;
- Anti-terrorist component in the Russian-African relations.
