Dear colleagues! You are cordially invited to a Round Table on the Problems and Perspectives of Federalism in Africa being hosted by the Institute for African Studies, RAS.

Federalism is generally regarded as the most suitable form of government in a polity with ethnic and regional diversities. The varied diversities of most African countries seem to render themselves as candidates for federalism. Scholars of the Institute for African Studies shall examine the theoretical foundations of federalism as well as its application in selected African countries.
