Census 2022 in South Africa: analysis of key results

On 2 February 2022, the new census in South Africa was officially launched. At the end of May of that year, the final stages of data collection were completed. On 10 October 2023, Cyril Ramaphosa, President of South Africa, received the results of the fourth census in the modern history of the republic from the head of Statistics South Africa, Risenga Maluleke, at a ceremony in Pretoria.
