September 22, 2022, Round table "Priorities and interests of Asian countries on the African continent"

On September 22, the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies hosted a round table on the topic “Priorities and interests of Asian countries on the African continent”. It was attended by A.A. Tokarev, Head of the Center for South African Studies of the Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, V.V. Usacheva, senior researcher at this academic institution and associate professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, as well as RISS subject matter experts.

During the round table, the problems and prospects of relations between the countries of Asia and Africa in the context of changing world order were considered. The participants of the event analyzed the policy of the countries of Asia and the Asia-Pacific region on the Black Continent, noting the tendencies of strengthening their political and economic interaction with the states of Africa.
