On September 14, 2022, the Inter-Institute Conference of Young Scientists "Africa Out of Africa" was held at the Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences

The event was held within the framework of the Department of Global Issues and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences and was jointly organized by the Councils of Young Scientists of the Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of the USA and Canadian Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Latin America of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The Deputy Director of the Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Dmitry Mikhailovich Bondarenko addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech.


The scientific part of the event consisted of three thematic sections:
1. Economic relations of Africa with other regions of the world;
2. Foreign policy of the countries of the African continent in the international arena;
3. Social and cultural influence of African countries beyond their borders.

The inter-institutional conference was attended by young scientists and experts from the Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute for the US and Canadian Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Latin America of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Asian and African Countries of Moscow State University, the Russian State University for the Humanities and the Russian Embassy in Morocco.
